John Gittins

After gaining his degree in Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art in 1978 John pursued his career as an artist, selling paintings, drawings and sculptures and exhibiting in England and the Netherlands. In 1983 he obtained a post with a Sheffield company of ornamental Plasterers as a sculptor and mould maker.

Working to Architects drawings and also producing many original works in plaster, his work now decorates some of the most prestigious buildings in the world. These include the Café Royal, Grosvenor House Hotel, and the oriental restaurants in the Dorchester Hotel. Les Ambassadeurs Casino-Park Lane as well as the fine jewellery rooms of 'the' most well known store in Knightsbridge.

Other work not readily available for viewing by the public can be found in the Saudi Arabian Embassy, Mayfair, the Al Bustan Hotel, Oman and, before it was bombed by allied forces one of Saddam Hussein's palaces in Baghdad

NEW PHOTOS IN THE GALLERY 9TH MARCH 2010

The M52 d-day sections and the M53 sets have now been remodelled to match the TM4 dune mats by sprinkling fine dry sand onto the pieces you can create much more realistic effects than previous. See gallery for pics

 

RETIRED ITEMS OCT 09

I am in the process of retiring items that are poor sellers or do not warrant making new moulds some items will be replaced by new versions , if you cannot find the item on this site it has been deleted. If you would like a list of all deleted items please e-mail me and I will send one by return. In future I will not produce a printed brochure the ones i have left are now out of date.
